      • Hello, I am/was just passing through on my way to Florida :). It was a new state for me (visiting) and I wish I had some time to explore it; so much water :). Surprised to Find 80 degree weather all the way from Texas to FL?

  1. Thanks for posting this lovely music, so expressive of nostalgia(and so different from the raucous, tasteless noise that dominates New Year’s Eve programming now.) Brings back fond memories of my childhood.

  2. Ah yes, I remember staying up late to watch Guy Lombardo. Every New Year’s Eve program since he’s been gone has seemed to a greater or lesser degree undignified, even the ones that weren’t woke horror shows, like last night’s CNN gay tag team of Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen. It was really just unrelenting, but I particularly appreciated the segment where Richard Quest goes on and on about his husband while climbing a skyscraper at Hudson Yards in NYC. (Although I’m definitely doing that climb at some point — it looks like a lot of fun!)

Fox’s show was better. They were explicit about not requiring masks, and I didn’t see anyone in the crowd wearing one. But it was undignified in its own way. While there are certainly a lot of positive things to be said about modern popular music, it really just doesn’t lend itself to this sort of occasion. (And western line dancing? Seriously?)

    • I turned on CNN for only like 30 minutes because I don’t get any network TV channels mercifully but I can stream various cable news channels. It was top to bottom (pun intended) faggotry no big surprise there the two you mentioned Richard Quest and his ‘hubby’, Adam Lambert the flamer and his ‘friend’, it was like being in San Francisco for the pride parade. Degeneracy thy name is America.
