The Dissident Right

This week I thought I would try something different and do an entire podcast on just one issue, rather than pulling segments together from stuff that caught my eye during the week. The reason is mostly variety, but I have also been seeing the phrase “Dissident Right” turn up around the internet. Before some millennial tries to define the term into some bespoke sissy philosophy, I wanted to put some markers down about what the term means.

I am not sure if this will be a regular thing. If I get a good response, then maybe I will do other podcasts on single topics like this. If people hate it, then I will forget the whole thing and pretend it never happened. The goal here was to put together something that people could think about, but also send to their confused normie friends and family to help them make the journey to our side of the great divide. I will be doing some posts on the topic as well.

I have one special announcement this week. Tomorrow I will be on the Happy Homelands podcast hosted by RamZPaul and Tiina Wiik. It is a censor friendly live show about the news items of the day. Someone named Junes Lokka will also be on the show. He is a Finnish activist. You can post questions in the YouTube chat window and maybe someone will answer them. This is my first live show, so we shall see how it goes.

This week I have the usual variety of items in the now standard format. Spreaker has the full show. I am up on Google Play now, so the Android commies can take me along when out disrespecting the country. I am on iTunes, which means the Apple Nazis can listen to me on their Hitler phones. The anarchists can catch me on iHeart Radio. YouTube also has the full podcast. Of course, there is a download link below.

Pure Politics

I have returned from the land of the perpetual 70’s. Newark is a strange place, in that it feels like it is trapped in a 1970’s blacksploitation film. Walking around the city, I saw lots of shucking a jiving. I saw people dressed like extras from a movie on the great heroin dealers of the period. Atlantic City has the same vibe. Maybe the 70’s was the peak for these places, at least for their current demographic, and they still have a residue of the era hanging over them. I had the theme song to Shaft in my head for the last week.

This week I wanted to do a show on politics. I have not been doing a lot of political stuff, so I thought it was a good time to swing back and do a show in political topics. In Newark, I was around some northeast Progressives, so hearing them talk about Trump got the juices flowing. There’s also been a lot of big stuff this week. The Korea summit and the IG report are a month’s worth of content for each event. Whatever you want to say about Trump, the guy is a man of action. He’s doing as much as he can, despite the opposition.

The Eurocast

This week the podcast goes international, as we do a whole show on those strange foreign people called Europeans. I wanted to do something on Italy and while scanning the wires for updates on their situation, I found other stuff worth covering. Our mass media only reports on the world when it is on fire, so it is good to look around at foreign and alternative press to get a fuller understanding of the world. It also made for a good theme to the podcast this week. I always like it when there is a theme to the show.

One administrative note. Next week there will not be a podcast. I’m traveling all next week and possibly into the following week. I have done podcasts on the road, but it is a big hassle and I’m not going to fight it. Blogging from the road is no big deal, but recording requires a much higher level of effort. If you need your weekend fix, try out FTN, which is doing a new feature where they cover a single topic in detail. Last week they did a long analysis on China, which was very good. You can find their shows here.

Days of Delusion

There is a theme to the show this week. As I was collecting up items to use, I noticed that many of them featured people in a state of self-delusion. That was not intentional, but it just worked out that way. I was hoping to find some items that I could make sport of as this is a holiday weekend. I think it is a good idea to try and keep in light when people are in the holiday mood. This is the first holiday of the summer and probably the one people look forward to the most. I’ll be off until Tuesday, weather permitting.

I tried to find some opening music that fit the theme, but I could not find anything I liked and that worked as intro music. Surprisingly, there’s not a lot of music about self-delusion. I guess that probably hits too close to home for people in the entertainment rackets. That and songs about drug taking sort of fill that niche. The result is I went with whatever struck my fancy last night. AC/DC seems like a nice lead-in to a long holiday weekend.

This week I have the usual variety of items in the now standard format. Spreaker has the full show. I am up on Google Play now, so the Android commies can take me along when out disrespecting the country. I am on iTunes, which means the Apple Nazis can listen to me on their Hitler phones. The Warcast

The show this week was a technological struggle. The mic I had been using started to give me trouble, so I had the bright idea of upgrading the recording gear. Now I have a bunch of wires hanging off the desk, which bugs me no end. Worse yet, I’m not entirely sure how to use the new stuff. I’ve muddled through, but I have much to learn. That said, if I’m going to do this right, I should learn how to use the proper equipment.

The funny thing about doing something like this is you get into a rhythm, as far as picking topics and the recording schedule. Every day I take some time to look for material, surfing reliable sites. Then I make some notes on what I find and think about what I want to say about it. Every evening, I record a little. When something changes, like the technical issues this week, it can throw you off your game. But, I suffer for my art.

This week I have the usual variety of items in the now standard format. Spreaker has the full show. I am up on Google Play now, so the Android commies can take me along when out disrespecting the country. I am on iTunes, which means the Apple Nazis can listen to me on their Hitler phones. Back In White

I’m back! Honestly, I missed doing the show last week. I’ve started to grow fond of hearing my own voice. All joking aside, there were things that came up in the news last week and I thought, “I should put that in the podcast”, but there was no show. This has turned out to be a fun hobby for me, so taking a week off was like a junkie giving up heroin for a week. I was looking forward to getting back on the horse.

I am now up on iHeart Radio, which is something I know nothing about, but I’m putting a link to it. I think it is a service like Pandora and it is available on the media systems in newer cars. There’s a phone app for it too. I may be on Spotify soon as well, but that process takes longer for some reason. People tell me it is a good thing to be on all of these platforms, so I’m doing what they say works. My media empire is growing!

This week I have the usual variety of items in the now standard format. Spreaker has the full show. I am up on Google Play now, so the Android commies can take me along when out disrespecting the country. I am on iTunes, which means the Apple Nazis can listen to me on their Hitler phones. The Hater’s Ball

As this goes up, I am winging my way to a secret location in the Smokey Mountains to attend The Hater’s Ball. This is my second trip to American Renaissance and I’m excited to be attending. I look forward to meeting my fellow haters. I had a such good time last year, I’m thinking this year could be a bit of a letdown. Even so, getting together with others in the struggle is a great way to spend a spring weekend.

I’m taking the opportunity to get in some down time next week, so posting may be a bit light and there will be no podcast. I’ll probably do a post or two over the weekend on the conference, if time permits. We’ll see. In order to avoid getting burned out, I’m going to sprinkle in a light week every month and next week will be the first foray into the world of sloth. Perhaps that will be enough to keep the dark thoughts at bay.

This week I have the usual variety of items in the now standard format. Spreaker has the full show. The 420 To Boston

Even though spring is not in the air here in Lagos, the hints of it are, so I am feeling a bit more optimistic about things this week. I like winter, but I like spring and summer too. It is this weird in-between season that I don’t like very much. It’s not winter, but it is not spring either. As I type this I see frost on the car. Yesterday it was windy, cold and I saw some snow flurries. That said, Old Man Winter is on his way out, I can just feel it.

Even if you like winter, there is something about the change of seasons that brightens the mood. There’s a sense of anticipation about it. You have to wonder how this changed people over a thousand generations. Those who evolved in tropical climates never experienced the extremes of weather Eurasians experienced, nor the anticipation of the change of seasons. It has to have had some impact on our cognition.

Triskaidekaphobia

Since everyone will be spending the day indoors, hoping to avoid the bad juju that comes with Friday the 13th, this podcast will be a helpful way to pass the time. The superstition around Friday the 13th is a western thing. Other cultures often count 13 among the lucky numbers. In the West, 13 is universally bad, perhaps the result of Judas Iscariot being the 13th guest to arrive at the last supper. It could also be from the ancient Norse, who counted Loki as the 13th guest in Valhalla, upsetting the perfect order of 12 gods.

Triskaidekaphobia is fear of the number 13, while paraskevidekatriaphobia is fear of Friday the 13th. My assumption is most people know the former and would get the reference. The latter looks like a foreign word or maybe the cat walking across the keyboard, so I went with the former. Reportedly, about 10% of Americans suffer from the latter, but that seems like a lot. I guess “fear” could simply be superstition. I know lots of people who joke about the day being bad luck, so that seems more likely.

Baltimore

The week started out as a million frustrations, but then ended like the first warm day after a rotten winter. First the pistol packing Persian reminded us of the importance of keeping our skills up by going to the range once a month. Then the fates handed Sloppy Williamson a little bit of payback for being a colossal douche. It is a good reminder that there  is always some good news around the corner.

The funny thing is the best bit of news this week was getting hurled into the void by the social media police. Not looking at this stuff for a couple of days has been a real boost to morale. I remember reading somewhere that Facebook users report being less happy than non-Facebook users. Maybe there is something to it. Staring at the reality of your fellow man for too long may be like looking into the Ark of the Covenant.
